Champagne from France

The most northerly wine region in France is Champagne, it is a cool climate area with maritime air currents where additional rules have been made to produce Champagne, only Champagnes made in the traditional way from the Champagne region may bear the name Champagne, often made a white Champagne but we also know the Rosé Champagne, planted grape varieties in Champagne are the Pinot Noir , Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay . The soil where the grape varieties are planted consists of a thick layer of chalk, which is also ideal for carving out cellars. Most Champagnes consist of blends of the three grape varieties mentioned earlier, if they are only made from Chardonnay , they are called Blanc de Blancs, if they are only made from Pinot Noir , they are called Blancs de Noir.
