Portuguese wines

Wines from Portugal , Portugal is a country with many indigenousgrape varieties and therefore also has many original wines. The blue grapes used for the Port are also used for the Douro wines. Grape varieties such as: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, and Tinta Roriz these grape varieties are usually blended. Portugal is the only major wine country that has adhered almost entirely to its own viticulture. Here we hardly find any Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot , or Chardonnay . The greatest asset is always the well-known Port, but when the production capacity is reached, red wines are made from the remaining high-quality grapes that were used for the port. There are beautiful wine regions to discover in Portugal. Together there are more than 250 indigenous grape varieties from which beautiful wines are made.
