Cahors Wijnen, the oldest part of the wine region in South West France, often red wine from the Malbec grape variety is grown here in the Cahors and also called Cot or Auxerrois, the area is more than 4200 hectares and in the past the wine was made by the grape variety and that part of the must was boiled a deep dark color also known as black wine, for 70 % the Malbec grape variety is grown there are more than 420 wine producers.
