Campania red wines Campania has a beautiful coastline with many beautiful vineyards planted on terraces overlooking the sea. Campania has 3 DOCG areas, 1 of which is for red wine Taurasi. The wine regions together cover more than 40,000 hectares, and viticulture is on the rise after the quality of the wines had also risen. The Taurasi owes its name to the town where it is also made. The tradition of winemaking goes back centuries to the Greeks and Romans. There used to be many volcanoes in the Campania wine region, which are no longer active.
