This Azienda Mario Giribaldi Barbera d'Alba Caj Bio has a ruby red color. On the nose clear violet sensations and cherries. In the mouth spicy notes with light vanilla and red fruit. A typical Barbera with ripe fruit and a fresh acidity.
8 months aging in 500 liter wooden barrels
PRODUCTION ZONE
This Barbera comes from the vineyard in Alba and is located 380 meters above sea level. The vineyard is 3.96 hectares with thin marl calcareous soil and has a south-southwest orientation.
TRIM SYSTEM AND VINEYARDS
The vineyard is composed exclusively of Barbera, The trimming system is Guyot with 5,000 vines per hectare. The vines are grown organically and are certified with the CEE certification.
TECHNOLOGICAL LISTINGS
A maceration of the grapes for 11 days with several pumpovers throughout the day and a temperature-controlled fermentation. After a rest in stainless steel, the wine matures in 30 hl semi-new oak barrels for approx. 8 months. The wine remains in Bottle for at least 3 months to rest.
CHARACTERISTICS
A ruby red color. On the nose clear violet sensations and cherries. In the mouth dry warm spicy notes with light vanilla and red fruit pulp. A typical Barbera with ripe fruit and a fresh acidity.
FOOD PAIRING
Delicious with starters and cheese.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18-20° C.
The Giribaldi winery started at the beginning of the 20th century and has been producing wines for three generations. In these days times were hard, and farming was not only a means of income but also a real pride for those who loved their land, it took blood sweat and tears to make a living and a price for it paid. Ultimately, Azienda Mario Giribaldi has grown into an excellent winery.
The wines of Mario Giribaldi are almost all grown organically, which in turn benefits people and nature, Giribaldi's top wine is his Barolo Ravera Organically made and from a special piece of vineyard with the highest quality.
