Château d'Angles
In the short time that the Fabre family has owned Château d'Anglès, they have unleashed the true potential of the vineyard with their enthusiasm and dedication. Eric Fabre is a former technical director at Château Lafite Rothschild. However, it was a childhood dream to own a vineyard in the Languedoc and he was soon sold when the opportunity arose to buy Château d'Anglès. The beautifully renovated chateau overlooks the vineyards towards the sea. In addition to the beautiful location, Eric quickly saw the potential of the soil, climate and local grape varieties. The production and bottling are carried out at the castle with their own expert hand. The best of traditional wine making and the application of the most modern techniques are brought together and have already resulted in at least 30 medals in recent years, including 12 gold.
Wine list
Pleasant aroma in which ripe fruit predominates. Sweet ripe attack, very pleasant and direct. Nice and juicy, round, nice acidity, pepper, alcohol and ripe tannins. Lots of flavor development. Black currants and blueberries, plums, licorice, pepper. Good freshness and warmth in a long finish.
Particularities
This wine is made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. The grapes for this wine are hand-picked in different tris after strict selection for ripeness. Each grape variety is vinified separately. After this they are destemmed, pressed slowly and the juice is allowed to drain into the barrels. The must is traditionally fermented. The wine is aged in wooden barrels for 18 months and is naturally stabilized and filtered.
