La Poulardiere Cotes du Rhone Rouge

Tasting note:

Beautiful ruby red color, very intense with purple hues. Nose revealing aromas of red fruits,

(preserved strawberries) and herbs (licorice and gray pepper). Concentrated mouthfeel with silky tannins and interesting flavor persistence

mainly composed of Grenache (fullness and roundness with a hint of blackcurrant) supplemented by Syrah (structure, low acidity, aromas of red and black fruit, spicy notes).

LA POULARDIÈRE red will delight connoisseurs thanks to its roundness, suppleness and fruitiness.

La Poulardiere

The name 'LA POULARDIÈRE' comes from the nickname given to an old plot of grenache vines in the southern part of the Côtes du Rhone appellation. This small vineyard was implanted next to a farm where the chickens used to come to dig up worms and food the harmful insects. Thus, they contributed to the preservation of the ecological balance of the vine

Vinification: The grapes are picked when they have reached optimal phenolic ripeness. They are then destemmed and crushed, followed by fermentation in concrete vats for about twenty days.

The vinification method is traditional with extraction by pumping over, the frequency of which is determined when tasting the must

Nature of the soil: Nature of the soil: clay-limestone alluvium terraces and clay.
