Santa Alicia Carmenere Gran Reserva
Tasting note:
This Carmenere has a slightly violet color with orange hues. A very complex nose, with notes of herbs, black pepper, black fruit, ripe cherries and cinnamon. Nice balance, intense, with notes of mocha, vanilla and toast. Smooth, with lots of volume and persistence in the mouth.
The grapes come from the winery's own vineyards in Melipilla and Alhué in the Maipo Valley, which receive good winemaking to obtain fruit of nice concentration.
Vintage
The grapes are picked and destemmed by hand and later vinified in stainless steel tanks for 10 to 12 days at controlled temperatures. 100% of the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 10 to 12 months.
