Chateau Capdulong
In the heart of the Médoc between Margaux in the south and Pauillac in the north, on the left bank of the Garonne, the Saint-Julien appellation of origin is an elite among the major appellations of the Bordeaux region. There are no less than 11 Grands Crus Class és 1855, which produce almost 80 % of the appellation's total production. The vines are planted on gently sloping terraces overlooking the river, consisting mainly of alluvial gravel.
Here Cabernet Sauvignon rules. Although in the majority, this Grape is usually blended with Merlot . The color of the young wine presents a beautiful color of a dark and deep ruby, which takes on garnet reflections with age. The aromatic palette is fine, intense and complex - with different successive aromas revealed as the aeration progresses: small berries (blueberry, blackberry) then prune and scents of systematic aging in wood. (Toast, coffee, cigar box). Tenderness and finesse define the velvety mouth, with a dense and abundant substance carried by deep and supple tannins.
The Saint-Julien are wines of high aging.
