The domain
Family estate of 3 generations with Italian origins located in the heart of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.
Our history
My grandfather Francis Usseglio came from Italy in 1931, where he settled in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
In 1948 he took over a farm and its vines in a place called Piet Long and produced his first wine in 1949.
Finally, in 1962 he planted his first plot of vines in his own name in Terres Blanches.
In 1963, my father Raymond, together with my mother Danielle, took over and created Domaine Usseglio Raymond.
Since 1999, and at only 22 years old, it is now my turn to cultivate and exploit the vineyard of Domaine Usseglio Raymond & Fils.
Our work
We are producers of white and red wines from certified organic (ECOCERT) and biodynamic agriculture (link to Demeter brochure) because it is essential for us to maintain the life and balance of our terroirs and our vines. (link to the meter specifications)
We strive for the best quality grapes to intervene as little and as much as possible during vinification and aging.
We offer a wide and diverse range of cuvées that have been carefully crafted with pure respect for the grape varieties and the terroirs. Complex and elegant wines that combine aromatic power and finesse..
