Tasting note:
Viognier Val St. Pierre is a dry white wine made entirely from the Viognier variety, grown in the Minervois region under the influence of the Mediterranean climate. The nose emphasizes aromas of wild flowers, apricots, peaches and mango. Soft, fresh on the palate with pleasant acidity.
Tasting note:
The beautiful light yellow color of this Grenache blanc is enhanced by light silver-green reflections. The nose reveals aromas of citrus, white flowers and exotic fruits. The attack on the palate is frank with a nice acidity, balanced by roundness and a nice lemony aftertaste
Ideal as an aperitif, but this vintage will also surprise you with oysters, bouillabaisse, fish on skewers or simply grilled. It also goes very well with fried shrimp, trout with almonds or sole fillet with lemongrass.
The grapes for this vintage come from a vineyard in Languedoc Roussillon that extends over hills and large clay-limestone terraces, covered with slate.
Jean d'Alibert was appointed Abbot of Caunes-Minervois by King Henri IV in 1598. Abbot Jean d'Alibert had an original entrepreneurial activity, both for the monastery and for the economy of the region. It was he who made famous the marble quarry of Caunes Minervois, the most beautiful pieces of which adorn the most important monuments of the world (Italy, Versailles, Arabian Peninsula). Abbot Jean d'Alibert allowed the global influence of local products, and we continue to do this by exporting the wine of our terroir around the world.
