A wine tradition that laid its roots in 1924, with founder Cavaliere Alessandro Bidoli , to whom we owe the birth of this winery and cellar. A passion passed on to his son Giobatta, a forerunner of innovation in the wine world, was in turn passed on to the current generation: Arrigo, a renowned winemaker, his sister Margherita, who has also made foreign countries fall in love with the wines of the historic house Bidoli , and recently the young niece Elena.

A family of expert winemakers who continue to collect awards and recognition with perseverance and love, with roots firmly rooted in tradition and at the same time a great technological and environmentalist impulse. Almost a hundred years after its creation, the Bidoli winery continues to evolve and amaze.

Bidoli Winery

One of the oldest ovens in Friuli Venezia Giulia, dating from 1890, is now home to the innovative Bidoli winery.

A conservative intervention of industrial archeology in the name of green building, incorporating the very latest eco-compatible systems. A water phytopure system, a barrier of tall vegetation to absorb excess CO2 and a desolation system ensure maximum respect for the environment.

Multi-certified, equipped with the most modern technologies for controlled fermentation and low-temperature bottling of still and sparkling wines. With a winemaking capacity of approximately 20,000 quintals of grapes, the Bidoli winery hosts a tasting point for tastings and retail sales.

It is a tasteful route that leads from Rive D'Arcano in a few minutes to San Daniele del Friuli, one of the most renowned towns in the region, known all over the world for its indigenous production of raw ham. Of historical interest, San Daniele houses the Guarneriana Library with its precious codices, the oldest in Friuli Venezia Giulia and one of the most prestigious in Italy. In just over an hour's drive you can reach Venice and its enchanting lagoon, for a visit that will be truly unforgettable.

Vineyards

The Bidoli winery is located in the heart of the DOC Friuli Grave, between the provinces of Udine and Pordenone, in an area particularly favorable for the cultivation of vines. Characteristic of the area, sheltered by the mountains, is the gravelly soil, which, with the beneficial action of the Adriatic Sea, contributes to a high-quality production of both white and red wines.

The added value of Bidoli production lies in the freedom to choose the local grapes from a list of excellent farmers: it is the oenologist Arrigo who personally searches for the bunches that will be vinified and bottled in the cellar, with meticulous control of each individual phase. .

Because Bidoli does not have its own vineyards, it offers its customers and admirers only the best of each harvest, year after year.
