Chateau Laroque
Saint Emilion Grand Cru
Grape varieties: Merlot (96 % ) - Cabernet France (4 % ) - Vines over 50 years old
Vinification on a plot basis in small concrete and stainless steel vats. Soft mixed extraction by precipitation and pumping over. Protective macerations (aroma preservation) with the aim of more meat and aromatic appearance.
Reduction of aging on fine yeasts, partly in barrels and partly in barrels: 1st racking after 3 to 4 months of aging, 2nd during the following winter, before bottling. Bottling from 11 to 13 June 2018.
Plateau of brown and red clay on limestone with asterias, terraces (rising) and ribs (sunset) on fine bluish very calcareous clay.
It is the second wine of Château Laroque.
