Gerard Bertrand Extra Blanc

Tasting note:

Gerard Betrand is one of the creative minds of the Languedoc. He always surprises the wine world with new ideas and wines. His Gris Blanc is such a great inspiration. His Extra Blanc is a blend of Grenache Blanc and Vermentino. The healthy and ripe grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks and then the wine is also pressed. The very beautiful nose shows aromas of apple, gooseberry, peach, raspberry, honeydew melon, pear, almonds, orange blossom and acacia blossom. The taste is fresh, full, juicy, fruity, elegant, beautiful play, finesse and long shelf life.

Gerard Bertrand

Gerard Bertrand was a rugby player and entered the family winery in the Midi after completing his career. The south of France, the Midi, is the 'New World' of Europe for Gerard Bertrand

Here he finds all the natural conditions for great wines: grape varieties, terroir and climate. What he brings with him is his talent and his endless passion for wine.

Winemaker is not a profession for Bertrand, chosen on a whim. Because even its vines are always planted for the next generation. Just as his father, Georges Bertrand, had done before him. Sustainable viticulture and the maintenance of ecological balance are the most important challenges of our time for Gerard Bertrand .

The father's "Domaine de Villemajou" has become four wineries: In addition to the family heritage in the Corbières, these are also "Cigalus" Corbieres, "Laville-Betrou" in Minervois-La-Liviniere and the "Château de l 'Hospitalet" in Narbonne, surrounded state of Clape. More than a hundred different wines are now marketed under the name Gerard Bertrand , but each wine is a personal promise to the customers: guaranteed quality wholeheartedly.
