This wine is a tribute to the winemaking traditions that inspired Robert Mondavi . The wine is aged in old rum barrels, which give it notes of brown sugar, spices, vanilla and cocoa. With hints of black cherry and raspberry.

In 1966, wine pioneer Robert Mondavi recognized the potential of Napa Valley as a leading wine region. He planted the very first vineyard there and a little later his Zinfandel introduced the entire world to the famous valley. What Robert Mondavi is best known for is his innovative method in the field of winemaking techniques. He introduced cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks and used French oak.
