It is a valuable concentrated red wine consisting of 100 % Tempranillo (Tinta del Pais) from 80-year-old vines from a single vineyard, growing on a limestone soil at an altitude of about 850 meters. The grapes are hand-picked in small boxes and then selected. Fermentation takes place at 28°C and matures in new oak barrels for 14 months and a further 6 months in the Bottle . This for a total production of only 3,000 bottles. From the start of production, they have been winning prizes with wines both nationally and internationally. The credo of vineyard owner Santiago Lopez is: 'You make wine in the vineyard'. His showpiece is this Bagús made from 85-year-old Tempranillo vines from one vineyard. The wine has a cherry color with purple tones, is elegant and complex and has powerful aromas of ripe fruit, spices, chocolate. This red wine is a fleshy wine with complex aromas.
