Viña Santa Alicia was founded in Pirque in 1954, at the foot of the majestic Andes Mountains. This location ensures that the pure melt water from the Andes mountains irrigates the Maipo Valley, the place where Chile's wine industry began and where the sun subtly passes through the vineyards. In this way, a harmonious environment of light and a Terroir is achieved, which gives identity and a unique character to all planted grape varieties.

"At Viña Santa Alicia they own 700 hectares of vineyards in different locations in the Maipo Valley (Pirque, María Pinto, Alhué and Melipilla), which includes the grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot , Carménère, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc , among others They also have 250 hectares of grape varieties in the Biobío Valley, where Sauvignon Blanc , Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are grown for the production of sparkling wines and cold climate wines, and about another 50 hectares in Casablanca.

MAIPO VALLEY

Maipo Valley has an average annual rainfall of 450 mm. The soils are of average fertility, which means that the grape varieties have to work hard. As a result, a higher concentration can be obtained with the grapes.

Located about 550 kilometers south of Santiago, this valley has about 700 hectares of vineyards. a special microclimate with warm days and cold nights that ensures a great diversity of terroirs. for the cultivation of white and red varieties that require a longer cycle to reach full maturity.
