Shipped worldwide, large selection of wines
Tasting note:
The purple-red color of this Merlot introduces a fruity wine with plums and blueberries, velvet tannin and a spicy touch. Juicy and smooth, typical Merlot.
LGI Wines is the producer/supplier of La Croisade.
Xavier Roger took over as Managing Director in 2014. He oversees all winemaking and contracts with cooperatives and growers, while leading the board of directors, which includes Sales Director Cédric Duquenoy, LGI China Sales Director Jérome Sabate, Production Manager Eric Roure and Financial Director Laurent Gazeau who have all served for a minimum of 8 years been to LGI.
Founded in 1999 in Carcassonne, southern France, Alain Grignon's vision was on international export markets in relation to the Languedoc wine region. He wanted to offer added value to the most flexible wines from France, with an excellent price-quality ratio, whether it concerns customization or concept brands.
In 2013, when Alain Grignon retired, Xavier Roger and Cédric Duquenoy took over, with Xavier becoming Managing Director and Cédric Sales Director. They both ended up at LGI Wines at the beginning of their adventure. Their knowledge of the customers and wine partners led them to take over from Alain and continue to create unique French wines together with the LGI Wines team.
Nearly twenty years later, we have explored the entire science of wine customization and concept creation. Our great flexibility and agility have made us the leading French custom wine maker, delivering great wines all over the world. Blessed by our location, in the heart of Languedoc, we work in one of the world's largest wine producing regions. It is a fantastic wine laboratory due to its astonishing diversity of climates, terroirs and wine partners offering a range of local to international grape varieties, from traditional to modern winemaking techniques. Over the years, our team has built a strong partnership with many local partners, from Gascony to the Languedoc region.
The wide range of local and international grape varieties, climates and terroirs allows us to create virtually any wine style; from fresh, crispy, spicy, full, oaky to elegant and mineral wines, where we are always looking for wine quality and taste consistency, so that the end products perfectly match the taste of our customers. The core values in such partnerships are about understanding and sharing each other's concerns, whether it is climate change, winemaking experience or daily advice. Being close to our producers has been key to securing wine volume, quality consistency and achieving international quality standards such as IFS and BRC.
