Tasting note:
The Haut-Médoc Moulin Reysson has a dark red and shiny color. It reveals on the nose aromas of fresh and ripe red fruit, with a small note of roasted nut. We discover a nice roundness and a lot of flexibility in the mouth. A balanced Haut-Médoc with a fresh aftertaste.
We advise you to serve it at a temperature between 15 and 16 ° C, accompanied by a dish made from beef.
Reysson Castle is now owned by the House of Dourthe, located in the Bordeaux region. The house is now used to improve the entire castle to develop high quality Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois. Although the origins of Château Reysson date back to the Middle Ages, Dourthe only took over the activities on the estate in 2001 and became its owner in 2014. Located at the top of a beautiful plateau, the vineyard is planted on soils composed of clay, limestone and fossilized shells. In this rather unique Medoc terroir, Merlot flourishes and develops its true finesse. Château Reysson will receive Cru Bourgeois Supérieur status in 2020.
Awarded Cru Bourgeois Supérieur status in 2020, Château Reysson is an example of Haut-Medoc wine with great elegance and freshness.
Planted on a very unusual terroir for Medoc, where the clay-limestone soils are more similar to those in Saint-Emilion, yet benefiting from a climate typical of the north of Medoc, the wines express a unique sense of Terroir.
