Masciarelli Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC
Tasting note:
Masciarelli's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is characterized by a deep ruby red color. The nose opens with intense sensations of red fruit, enriched with notes of violets and tobacco. On the palate, it is fruity and medium-bodied. This red is perfect with grilled red meats and roasts.
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo di Masciarelli comes from vineyards in several municipalities in the province of Chieti.
It is produced with 100% Montepulciano grapes, harvested by hand from late September to late October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 18 - 21 days. The wine is then aged on stainless steel for 20 months before being released to the market.
