Tasting note:
This sparkling rosé has a soft pink hue, tiny bubbles and a juicy, softly foaming taste with mainly red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries.
In the highest area of the Penedés, over 500 metres above sea level, lies a beautiful area of vineyards. This environment is known as the "Zone +500" and is home to a unique natural biodiversity in the Penedés, where the vineyards naturally lie between hills and mountains. Vallformosa is directly involved in conservation programmes for this area and in the recovery of native varieties that adapt to the conditions of the land and the altitude.
The grapes from this mountainous area ripen more slowly due to the temperature difference between day and night, which gives them high-quality organoleptic characteristics.
The Vallformosa technical team analyses different plots throughout the year to find the best vineyards. These are varieties with a long history, planted freely, without trellises and with low yields. Their fruits are excellent and give us the highest quality of our products.
These plots are part of the Vallformosa Plus project, which allows us to establish long-term collaboration with winegrowers committed to caring for and supplying quality grapes, with a guarantee of total traceability and with special technical support from Vallformosa.
The quality of our wines and sparkling wines is controlled from the beginning of the vineyard cycle. In order to maintain this quality in a homogeneous way, we use technologies and drones to monitor the growth and ripening of grapes. In addition, the technical team is responsible for visiting and designing the phytosanitary and vegetative actions in each of the plots. Finally, in the winegrowers department, and through the open channels of the Yo Soy Vallformosa Club (I am Vallformosa Club), they design educational and training material.
