The good reputation of Chateau de Fieuzal makes it one of the jewels of the Pessac Léognan appellation . This wine is classified Grand Cru during the Graves classification. This ancient cru was founded in the 16th century.
It then belonged to the Gardères family. before becoming the property of the Fieuzal family in the following century. The Fieuzal kept the castle until 1851, when the last descendant of the name died. Today the 75 acre vineyard is owned by an Irish couple (since 2001), Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, both passionate about French wines.
Stephen Carrier (formerly Lynch-Bages) has been running operations since 2007. Under the leadership of the new owners, both red and white wines have regained their lost excellence, thanks to the talented winemaker's new winery.
