Hopler Green Veltliner

Tasting note:

Grüner Veltliner is the national grape of Austria. Light yellow-green in colour, with aromas of pear, mandarin and lime. Its liveliness and light white pepper is a clear characteristic of this grape.

The Wine House

We are an Austrian, family owned, winery located southeast of Vienna in Burgenland. Our 46 ha of vineyards are located in the Leithaberg Hills on the shores of Lake Neusiedl. This unique location allows us to produce a wide range of wines; 55% white wine, 40% red and 5% dessert wine.

Hopler wines have a clear signature. They are usually delicate, elegant and high in minerality. They are excellent to drink on their own, but versatile when it comes to pairing food and wine.

We export 70% of our production. Hoepler wines are available in 39 states in the US, UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Malta, Estonia and Scandinavia

We are known for making the house wines for the Trapp Family Lodge of Sound of Music fame and are fortunate to count the Vienna State Opera Ball, Jamie Oliver, Thomas Keller (French Laundry, Yountville), Boby Flay (Mesa Grill, New York), Petri Lukkarinen (Olo, Helsinki), Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White among some of our more prestigious clients.
