Bodega Muriel
Viticulture and elaboration
Located in Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta, the vineyard is mainly grown with a glass system, on very poor calcareous soils with a clayey texture. The process of fermentation and maceration lasts 15 days in stainless steel tanks.
The daily overruns allow the optimal extraction of color and tannins. The aging lasts 24 months, with three racks, in American oak and French oak barrels of 225 liters capacity. The wine ages in Bottle for 2 years before being released on the market.
Tasting and gastronomy
Classic ruby red with tile colours. Nose very complex and intense, with fine scents to perfectly compose aging: vanilla, spices and aromatic herbs. Memories seem like a very ripe fruit.
The palate is a balanced and very fine wine, with a polished and elegant body and a very long and pleasant finish. It is especially good with roast lamb, lamb chops, fish in sauce and smoked and cured cheeses. Excellent wine to accompany desserts with chocolate
