Founded in 1928, although the family can trace their roots in Rioja soil for two centuries. Luis Cañas Wineries have 90 organically managed hectares in the hills of the cooler Rioja Alavesa region, as well as long-term contracts with growers for a further 200 hectares of mixed regime viticulture. Luis Cañas Wineries is a family business dating back to 1928, although the family has been active in the grape growing and wine industry for more than two centuries. Today it is one of the most important wineries of the Rioja Alavesa region. At Luis Cañas, the vinification process starts with 90 hectares of their own vineyards and 200 hectares managed by their regular suppliers, spread over 815 plots.
